And Finally…

    • The broader market again moved higher and closed within a whisker of all-time highs, a feat already achieved by the tech heavy Nasdaq. With jobless claims continuing to decline and retail sales improving the economy is exhibiting signs of a robust recovery although the failure to agree the latest stimulus package may dampen sentiment.
    • Merger Spreads posted an additional marginal positive return as deals broadly move towards closure. Returns were helped this week by a positive performance from a deal break (an unusual sight to say the least). The lack of eligible deals however remains ever present.
