Merger Arbitrage and Investment Book List
Here is a great merger arbitrage and investment book list. This risk arbitrage book list provides a solid introduction to merger arbitrage as an alternative event driven investment strategy. In addition, the reader also learns about the historical development and leading figures of the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) industry.
This book list caters to private investors & individual traders to hedge fund professionals and from beginners to experts alike. For more advanced practitioners, there are books covering the legal perspective of Mergers & Acquisitions. Subsequently this merger arbitrage book list is both entertaining and informative. Altogether, these titles are a “must have” for any investment bookshelf. For those busy traders who may not have the time to read a full book, check our trading and finance movie list. Some of the more popular titles appear on both lists.
We have personally read all the titles on our merger arbitrage and investment book list. In addition, we often directly or indirectly reference many of them throughout our blog posts and articles on this website. We also cover additional topics such as options and ETF’s, Pairs trading & relative value trading (a close cousin of merger arbitrage) along with FOREX.
We will be adding more of our own reviews in the near future. However, for more immediate information you can click on the book image or the book title link. Amazon gives a number of reviews as well as the latest price and availability. In addition, details such as condition, format (ie PDF, hardback, collectable etc.) are also available. Making a qualified purchase after clicking these links may result in us receiving an affiliate commission. This is greatly appreciated and is put towards the maintenance of this site. As this reading list is expanding all the time, we begin with a new section showing the most recent additions. Following that, we show the main list. We list books alphabetically by title.

Recent Merger Arbitrage Book List Additions
The Deals that Made the World: The Billion Dollar Deals and How They’re Changing Our World
Jacques Peretti
For twenty years, Peretti has interviewed the people behind the decisions that have altered our world, from CEOs of multinational corporations to politicians, economists, and scientists. He proves a sure guide, combining both eye-opening on-the-ground reporting and a narrative flair that makes esoteric financial and business concepts clear and understandable.
Here is one of the most popular list entries. Kate Welling’s book has been available for two years but remains as entertaining as ever.
It’s called Merger Masters: Tales of Arbitrage and is co-written with Mario Gabelli, chairman and CEO of GAMCO investors.
As you can see from the photo, we received our copy despite the high demand. Once we started reading it, we couldn’t put it down. Scroll through the listings below to see our review. You can follow Kate on Twitter at @KateWellingWOWS
The Takeover Barons of Wall Street: Inside the Billion-dollar Merger Game
Richard Phalon
A bit of a blast from the past, but an enjoyable nonetheless. Certainly helps to plug a few of the knowledge gaps in the historical development of the practice of M&A.
The Trader’s Guide to Key Economic Indicators
Richard Yamarone
Although this is the 2012 edition, we still advise traders to have a solid understanding of economic data and how their publication can effect the markets. Hopefully we will see a new revised edition soon, but for the meantime, traders will still find this text an adequate resource.
The Psychology of Trading: Tools and Techniques for Minding the Markets
Brett N. Steenbarger
Psychology might not play such a significant part in trading merger arbitrage but it is still vitally important that traders understand how this concept can affect the performance of their trading. We agree and adhere to many if not all the principles in this book and throughout the Merger Arbitrage Limited website we constantly advise traders NOT to become married to the trade.

Merger Arbitrage Limited Recommendation
Merger Masters: Tales of Arbitrage (Heilbrunn Center for Graham & Dodd Investing Series)
