And Finally…
- Economic data in the form of GDP growth showed the worst performance on record – EVER! However, that was still not enough to drag the markets down over the course of the week. The numbers were better than expected and as big tech (FANG+) posted impressive earnings the markets decided to power ahead.
- Merger Spreads also managed to post a marginal positive return as deals continue to close. Although smaller deals have been announced these may be difficult for some investors to open a position. Lager cash deals are becoming scarce raising the possibility of too much capital chasing too few deals.
