- Unemployment claims continue to rise….Again! GDP performance has declined significantly and is expected to do so. Thus marking the beginning of the recession. However, globally, experts are point to the passing of the peak rate of infection helping the cause to begin opening up parts of the economy. Markets have already responded accordingly. We still fear the effect of 30m new unemployed Americans has not been fully appreciated.
- Spreads held firm during the week and narrowed marginally. MLNX was the only deal to consummate. There have been no new announcements once again. The index barely maintains a full complement of constituents as the coronavirus continues to wreck havoc on the global economy.
