- News and announcements have been slow for us over the festive period which was to be expected. We shall have a more accurate picture of the merger arbitrage market going forward by the end of the week.
- Spreads narrowed significantly during the week. The abandonment of the PACB deal has reduced the averge spread considerably. RRGB now takes its place the largest spread in the index. A spread which itself has narrowed in recent weeks.
