Exxon Mobil, Chevron Earnings Are On Deck And One Has This ‘Overhang’ Weighing On It

Ahead of Friday’s quarterly reports, the analyst consensus estimate has Exxon Mobil’s Q4 EPS coming in at $1.55, down 37.5% compared to a year ago, with revenue totaling $86.33 billion, up 2.4%, according to FactSet. Meanwhile, analysts peg Chevron earnings falling 39% to $2.11 per share and sales coming in at $46.60 billion, marking a 1% decline vs. Q4 2023. Exxon’s earnings have declined an average of 15% over the past four quarters.
