It develops and licenses 3D semiconductor packaging, interconnect, and bonding solutions for semiconductors that are used in smartphones, tablets, and laptops, as well as servers used in datacenters. This segment also provides engineering services. The company was formerly known as Tessera Holding Corporation and changed its name to Xperi Corporation in February 2017. The Intellectual Property Licensing segment licenses its patent portfolio to the United States and international pay-television providers, mobile device manufacturers, consumer electronics manufacturers, and over-the-top video providers. The company was formerly known as Rovi Corporation and changed its name to TiVo Corporation in September 2016. TiVo Corporation is based in San Jose, California.
